After a triumphant success at the 47th Monte Carlo International Circus Festival, the National Equestrian Games group "Galkynyş" returned to Turkmenistan with the top prize – the "Golden Clown."

The skilled and courageous equestrians demonstrated the traditional art of Turkmen horseback acrobatics at this prestigious circus festival. Their performance won the hearts of the audience, earning them not only the highest award but also recognition from the youth jury, Italian and Indian circuses, as well as the festival's public.

The phenomenal success of the group is particularly valuable in a year declared as the International Year of Peace and Trust, emphasizing the importance of cultural exchange and unity among nations through art.

As noted by foreign media, the delegation from Turkmenistan brought an atmosphere of cultural grandeur to the festival. Dressed in national attire and carrying their country’s flag, they performed as proud ambassadors of Central Asia. The equestrians on Akhal-Teke horses captivated spectators with their elegance and masterful control, embodying the spirit of UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Continuing to glorify Akhal-Teke horses, Turkmen equestrians have already earned numerous prestigious international awards. Their accolades include the Grand Prix at the World Circus Arts Festival "IDOL" in Moscow in 2013, success at the 16th International Circus Festival in Latina (Italy) in 2014, as well as awards at the 2nd International Circus Arts Festival in China (2015), the 2nd World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan in 2016, and the Golden Gaetano statuette at the 1st International Circus Arts Festival on Fontanka in St. Petersburg in 2018.

It has become a tradition that performers consider Monte Carlo’s highest award, the "Golden Clown," to be the circus equivalent of an "Oscar." Every respected artist dreams of winning this coveted statuette. This award brings not only personal fame but also respect for their home country in the world of circus art, highlighting the significance of cultural contributions and artistic achievements.
