Turkmenabat chemists resumes the production of coagulant for water treatment

The first batch of coagulant, technically treated aluminium sulphate, was produced by Turkmenabat Chemical Plant of the State Concern Turkmenhimiya. The production of chemicals for treatment of potable and drinking water from dangerous mixtures and harmful microorganisms was resumed in cooperation with Ussat Yardamchy business entity. A joint venture was established on the base of the oldest workshop. One of four streamlines has been renovated and commissioned with the participation of entrepreneurs, repair of equipment and premises is carried out.

From the beginning of the year, 100 tons of aluminium hydroxide, from which 350 tons of high quality coagulant was produced at the plant in the process of mixing with sulphuric acid, have been bought from the producers from Russia, China, Italy and Turkey by the investment of Ussat Yardamchy. Test batch of the coagulant was tested at the facilities of the Turkmengazsnabjenie, Mary State Power Station and at drinking water treatment facilities in the regions of the country. the production of chemists from Turkmenabat was recognized by relative state standards and received the Certificate of Conformity.

Rovshan Abayev, the Director of new facility informed that requirement in aluminium sulphate is 15, 000 tons per year. This volume has been imported until these days. Now, the entrepreneurs work on the restoration of coagulant production lines, which commissioning would allow the provision of consumers inside the country and save foreign currency as well as to arrange the export of the chemicals.

Serdar Abdieyv, the founder of the facility, says that output capacity of the workshop will be 120,000 tons per year after the reconstruction. It will allow making an additional 200 working places, expanding the production of sulphuric acid, which is one of the components of coagulant, as well as exporting the product. In the future, the entrepreneurs plan to use local raw material, which would significantly reduce the cost of chemical.
