Malaysia to host International Forum to Attract Foreign Investments in Turkmenistan's Economy

On April 23-24, the International Forum to Attract Foreign Investments in Turkmenistan's Economy will take place in Kuala Lumpur.
The event is organized by the State Concerns "Turkmengas," "Turkmennebit," and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in partnership with the "Turkmen Energy Forum." Leaders representing the oil and gas industry, energy, construction, transport, information technology, telecommunications, and industry will have the opportunity to present and discuss the latest and most promising investment prospects in the country.
The forum will serve as an important platform to showcase the diverse opportunities available in these strategic sectors of Turkmenistan's economy. Additionally, prominent international figures will participate in the forum, including leaders of major international organizations and financial institutions such as OPEC, UNECE, the Global Gas Centre, the International Energy Agency (IEA), IRENA, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), BNP Paribas, and UK Export Finance Agency. Experts and top management from leading energy companies such as Petronas, TotalEnergies, Dragon Oil, CNPC ExxonMobil, ADNOC and ENI will also attend to share valuable insights, exchange knowledge, and conduct in-depth analyses of global energy trends.
Building on the success of TEIF 2024 in Paris—which facilitated significant investment agreements for Turkmenistan's energy sector—the organizers of the upcoming event are confident that TEIF 2025 in Kuala Lumpur will stimulate investment growth from Southeast Asian countries. As global energy transitions progress, Turkmenistan is striving to adapt and leverage its vast potential in this area. With substantial natural gas reserves at the Galkynysh field and favorable conditions for renewable energy development, Turkmenistan offers extensive investment opportunities for all interested parties.
The upcoming forum in Kuala Lumpur will provide a unique opportunity for investors to explore investment projects across all sectors of Turkmenistan's economy, including energy, industry, transport, agriculture, and many others. TEIF 2025 will also feature comprehensive discussions on key topics such as developing hydrocarbon resources in Turkmenistan's Caspian Sea sector; innovative applications of advanced technologies to increase oil and gas production; subsequent stages of developing the Galkynysh gas field; progress of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project; construction of modern gas-chemical facilities; and coordinated efforts to reduce methane emissions and associated gas flaring to contribute to a more sustainable energy future.
Under the motto "Invest in a Stable, Prosperous, Dynamic Economy," the forum agenda will include meaningful discussions. Business meetings with leaders of Turkmenistan's key economic sectors will provide invaluable insights into new investment opportunities within the country. TEIF 2025 aims to open new doors for innovation and sustainable growth while ensuring a brighter and more prosperous future for Turkmenistan and its international partners.
