Enterprises Producing Household Cleaners and Polypropylene Packaging Open in Akhal Region

Ak Bugday etrap, Akhal velayat has celebrated the official opening of two industrial facilities in the private sector – modern enterprises producing household cleaning products and polypropylene packaging.

Participants in the ceremonies, attended by deputy khyakim of Akhal velayat Serdar Berdymuhamedov, representatives of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, local authorities, elders, youth, and many residents, highlighted that the opening of the facilities eloquently testifies to the successful implementation of the Socio-Economic Development Program of Turkmenistan.

The Program’s key aspects focus on boosting import-substitution production while building modern facilities manufacturing various household cleaners, which are highly sought after in the home and global markets, as well as on taking advantage of modern technologies not only to raise product quality, but also to protect the environment.

One of the newly opened facilities is the enterprise producing household cleaners with an annual capacity of 50 tons. Built by a local construction company, it boasts a central laboratory to control the quality of raw materials from Turkmenistan, Turkey, India, China, Germany, Denmark, and Malaysia as well as that of cleaning products. The enterprise will have 150 employees.

The manufacturing process includes the multi-stage purification of raw materials, filtration and enrichment with necessary substances. Water and natural gas used in the production of cleaners are reused after being treated and purified in special units; this makes the process environmentally-safe. The fully automated enterprise is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, modern pump plants, filters and other facilities from leading European and American companies.

Today, it is the region’s biggest manufacturer of household cleaners. This will enable not only to produce top-quality products, but also to export them overseas.

The other new facility is the enterprise of Bir Dünýä Economic Association, built to produce large-size polypropylene sacks with a capacity of 300 kg and up to 3,000 kg. The complex, which is capable of producing 1,000,000 sacks annually with the potential to double its production output, will supply domestic and foreign consumers with high-quality bags ideal for storing and shipping dry food and non-food products and materials.

The enterprise with an area of 15,700 square meters prides itself on the latest facilities and is equipped with up-to-date machinery from Austrian company, Starlinger. The fact that the Turkmenbashi Refinery Complex supplies 95 percent of all raw materials helps to bring the cost of packaging down and has positive impacts upon product quality.
