Turkmen national team successfully performed at the World Special Olympics Summer Games

At the World Summer Games of the Special Olympiad in 2019, which took place in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates), our athletes won seven medals - three gold, two silver, and two bronze medals.

The national team of our country was represented by 15 athletes who participated in competitions in tennis, table tennis, athletics, badminton, gymnastics, swimming, and judo.

Enebay Semenderov and Myahri Myratnazarov, who successfully performed in rhythmic gymnastics, have risen to the highest step of the podium.

In total, Enebay won four medals - two "gold" in exercises with a ball and a rope, as well as "silver" and "bronze" - in demonstration performances with a hoop and in exercises with a ribbon, respectively.

Myratnazarova Myahri also became a leader in the performances with the ball in her group, adding to the collection of awards by our team medal of gold reflux.

The silver and bronze awards in the piggy bank of the Turkmen team were brought by the masters of the racket - Umyt Amandurdyev (badminton) and Roman Omarov (tennis).

The tournament, which brought together about eight thousand athletes from more than 170 countries, is not only the largest sporting event but also a large-scale humanitarian action aimed at adapting people with disabilities. The main achievement of the Special Olympics is the statement that sport is available to all who strive for victory, new achievements, regardless of age and health.
