New drafts of the climate agenda are discussed

On January 21, 2025, the UN Office in Ashgabat hosted the presentation of updated concepts for climate change adaptation projects for the Green Climate Fund within the framework of the project of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan entitled "Development of the national adaptation Planning Process in Turkmenistan", implemented in the country with the support of the United Nations Development Program.

The meeting was attended by specialists from the Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan (State Veterinary Service), Environmental Protection, Health and Medical Industry and the State Committee for Water Management, as well as representatives of the "Tükmenhowaýollary" Agency. The event was joined by international consultants of the UNDP Nikolay Denisov and Viktor Novikov.

The final version of the "Climate Services for All" project concept, also the project concept on ecosystems and adaptation measures for natural environments and biodiversity, were presented to the audience. The events that are planned to be implemented within the framework of the projects were discussed.
