New gas chemical complex to appear in Balkan velayat

Grandiose transformations are taking place in the western region of Turkmenistan, as well as throughout the country. An important role in the successful implementation of tasks, including accelerated industrialization, is assigned to the fuel and energy complex.
A new step in this direction is the Framework Agreement signed during the visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Japan between the State Concern "Türkmenhimiýa" and the group of companies "Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd." (Japan), "Gap İnşaat Yatırım ve Dış Ticaret Anonim Şirketi" (Turkey) and "Mitsubishi Corporation" (Japan) on cooperation in the design, procurement and turnkey construction of a urea plant with a capacity of 1,155 thousand tons per year in the village of Kiyanly in the Balkan province of Turkmenistan.
As the President of Turkmenistan noted, speaking to representatives of the business community of the friendly state, today 44 investment projects with the participation of Japanese companies for a total amount exceeding 11 billion US dollars have been registered in our country. Projects worth about 256 million euros and almost 190 billion yen are also being implemented. Having highly assessed the long-term successful activity of large Japanese companies in Turkmenistan, the head of state thanked the businessmen of the friendly country.
It should be noted that in recent years, large industrial facilities have been commissioned in Turkmenistan with the participation of Japanese companies. These include a gas chemical complex for the production of ammonia and urea in Karabogaz, a polymer plant in Kiyanly, a plant for the production of gasoline from natural gas in Ovadandepe, and a gas turbine power plant in Chardzhev etrap.
Our country is always open to mutually beneficial business contacts with leading foreign companies specializing in various industries, including the construction of large industrial facilities that produce products in demand on world markets. Comprehensive modernization and diversification of the national economy, where the emphasis is on attracting the best world experience and advanced technologies, open up broad opportunities for fruitful cooperation on a long-term basis.
