Regarding the Meetings in the Federal State of Rhineland-Pfalz, Germany

On September 9, 2025, in Mainz, the capital of the federal state of Rhineland-Pfalz, on behalf of the Government of this state, Ms. Petra Dick-Walther, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economics, Transport, Agriculture, and Viticulture, received Mr. Myrat Ozbekbayev, Consul of Turkmenistan in the Federal Republic of Germany (Frankfurt am Main). 

During discussions on the key areas of Turkmen-German cooperation, the importance of developing interregional trade and economic relations was emphasized. Particular attention was given to the prospects for cooperation between Turkmenistan and the state of Rhineland-Pfalz in areas of mutual interest, including the economy, agriculture, innovative technologies, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges. In addition, German officials were provided with comprehensive information on the trade and economic potential of Turkmenistan.

The parties exchanged views on the possibilities of organizing bilateral visits, as well as holding joint business events in the near future.

As part of the visit, the Consul also met with Mr. Markus Walden, President of the Rhine-Hessen Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Ms. Karina Schwede, Chief Managing Director of the Chamber. During the meeting, the interlocutors highlighted the importance of establishing direct contacts between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and Rhineland-Pfalz, as well as between the business communities of both sides. Prospects for the participation of the Chamber and companies from this federal state in economic events held in Turkmenistan were also discussed.

Among the most promising areas for cooperation were identified as energy, chemical industry, agriculture, mechanical engineering, high technologies, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology.

The Rhine-Hessen Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which unites approximately 42,000 member enterprises, expressed interest in establishing and expanding business contacts with the business community of Turkmenistan.
