Conference and cultural evening on behalf of the forthcoming events such as “Global Sustainable Transport Conference”, The V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games

On November 10th 2016 Consulate of Turkmenistan has held conference and cultural evening on behalf of the forthcoming events such as “Global Sustainable Transport Conference”, The V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games and the 25th Anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan.

 To the conference and cultural evening have attended citizens of Turkmenistan from different corner of Germany, Turkmen students, members of cultural association “Türkmen Kultur Ojagy” and representatives of Federal State Hessen Germany.

In the first half of conference the speech was given prominence to the impending events; Global Sustainable Transport Conference and The V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. Panelists have emphasized the importance of the bilateral cooperation in the field of transportation as well as further development of concrete objectives in all resolutions of the United Nations. Notably the resolution 70/197 “Towards comprehensive cooperation among all modes of transport for promoting sustainable multimodal transit corridors” which was accepted by 85 member states of United Nations General Assembly on 22 December 2015.

Moreover, it was highlighted that 1st United Nations Global Conference on Sustainable Transport, initiated by the United Nations Secretary-General and supported by General Assembly, dedicated to the role of transport and transit corridors in ensuring international cooperation, stability and sustainable development, will take place on 26 and 27 November 2016 in Ashgabat. This assembly will play a deceive role in establishing the guidelines and milestones for development of global transportation in all modes of transport system until the year 2030.

Additionally, it was accentuated that, on 19 December 2010 in capital of Kuwait – Kuwait city, the Olympic Council of Asia, the National Olympic Committee of Turkmenistan and the administration of Ashgabat city signed a bilateral agreement in order to conduct the V Asian indoor and martial arts games in the capital of Turkmenistan city of Ashgabat in the year 2017. During the conference, all the citizens of Turkmenistan have invited to actively participate in significant events which are taking place in our country.

The second half of the day has proceeded with the cultural feast. Throughout the feast, citizens of Turkmenistan, Turkmen students and members of cultural association “Türkmen Kultur Ojagy” have been beguiled with different contests. Traditional specialties have been offered by the Consulate, in order to show the hospitality of Turkmen nation.
