On 20 November 2025, the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Federal Republic of Germany (Frankfurt am Main) organized a solemn reception dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Neutrality, the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as the International Day of Neutrality.

The event was attended by representatives of the State Chancellery of the federal state of Hesse, officials from financial and banking institutions, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Hesse, figures of culture and science, representatives of the Turkmen diaspora, and university students.

Addressing the guests, the Consul of Turkmenistan noted that Turkmenistan’s neutral status has served as a solid foundation for both the country’s domestic and foreign policy over the past three decades. It was emphasized that the policy of Positive Neutrality contributes to strengthening regional security, expanding mutually beneficial international cooperation, and supporting economic development. Particular attention was also drawn to Turkmenistan’s peace-oriented international initiatives aimed at promoting peace, trust, and sustainable development—initiatives put forward by Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and successfully implemented by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The speech additionally highlighted the importance of the upcoming International Forum, which will take place on 12 December 2025 in Ashgabat, dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, the International Day of Neutrality, and the 30th Anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Permanent Neutrality.

It was underlined that this event will serve as an important platform for discussing key issues of international politics, sustainable development, humanitarian cooperation, and the strengthening of the role of neutral states in the peacebuilding efforts of the United Nations.

At the conclusion of the speech, a video presentation was shown, highlighting Turkmenistan’s achievements during the years of Independence and the active role of the country's Positive Neutrality.

During the reception, participants exchanged views on the significance of Turkmenistan’s neutrality and the country’s peacebuilding initiatives on the international stage.

Traditional dishes of Turkmen cuisine were offered to the guests during the event.
